Today, Echoes of Elysium officially launches into Early Access.
This moment has been a long time coming, and while we are incredibly proud to finally put the game into your hands, we want to be clear about one thing from the start. This is not the finish line. It is the beginning of a joint Early Access journey we are building together with all of you.
Early Access is about collaboration. It is about listening, iterating, and shaping Echoes of Elysium alongside the community that believed in it early.

A Big Last-Minute Change for Stability
Leading up to launch, we made a major technical decision.
We migrated the entire project from Unity 2021 to Unity 6 weeks before launch.
This was not a small change, and it was not taken lightly. We made this call because Unity 6 offered meaningful improvements to stability, performance, and long-term support. The result is a more reliable foundation for Echoes of Elysium as we move through Early Access and beyond.
It was an intense push for the team, but we believe it was the right one for the health of the game and for everyone playing it.
"As we approached our first launch window, we were battling a class of crashes that were incredibly difficult to track down. These weren't typical Null Reference bugs. They were deep memory corruption issues that often surfaced during Unity's garbage collection. With time running out, we made a risky decision to migrate from Unity 2021 to Unity 6.3, hoping it would give us better insight into what was going wrong. What surprised us most was how quickly the project came back online and how dramatically stability improved.
In the final stretch before launch, that decision paid off. Over the past two months we've made major gains in stability, performance, and progression, and I couldn't be more proud of the team's willingness to take risks and grind through incredibly hard problems."

Our Early Access Roadmap Going Forward
Early Access is about building a strong foundation first, then expanding Echoes of Elysium in meaningful stages. Our roadmap is structured around three major phases throughout 2026, alongside ongoing updates that continue between each milestone.
Ultimately, this is the true journey your $20 bucks will put you on in addition to what is available today at launch.
Coming Soon
Our immediate focus after launch is on stability, accessibility, and core quality-of-life improvements. This phase is about making sure the experience feels solid and reliable for everyone jumping in.
Planned updates include:
Critical fixes and bug resolution
Expanded localization support
Full controller support
Ship decorations and customization touches
Steam Deck support
These updates are designed to improve day-to-day play while laying the groundwork for larger content additions.
Spring Expansion
The Spring Expansion introduces the first major wave of new gameplay content.
Players can expect the skies to become far more dangerous and dynamic, with systems that directly impact exploration and combat.
Key additions include:
Dynamic storms and wind systems
New enemy types
Airship Tier 3 parts
A new boss
Heron’s Malice
This expansion pushes airship progression forward and introduces new threats that challenge how you navigate and survive.
Summer Expansion
The Summer Expansion is our largest planned content update for 2026 and significantly expands the world and progression systems.
This phase focuses on exploration depth and player identity.
Planned features include:
A brand new biome
Caves and dungeons to explore
A new playable class: the Pilot
Deeper player customization
New enemy tank units
This expansion is intended to open up new playstyles, environments, and long-term goals within the world of Echoes of Elysium.
Ongoing Updates Throughout Early Access
Alongside these major milestones, Echoes of Elysium will continue to receive regular updates between expansions.
Ongoing improvements include:
New airship pieces added monthly
Airship abilities
New weapons
UI improvements
Control remapping
Terrain and performance optimizations
As always, priorities may shift based on feedback, performance data, and what the community tells us matters most.
Early Access gives us the flexibility to adapt, improve, and grow the game together, and this roadmap represents the direction we are committed to building toward with you.
